For A Little Casual Hiking or Climbing . . .
. . . and the rest! Casual pants are great for a little hiking, a little weekend climbing, backpacking, camping, walking the dog, doing a little outside DIY, chopping wood . . . they’re designed to be casual (so you probably wouldn’t wear them for dinner in a fancy restaurant) but they’re also pretty rugged and durable.
Features of Casual Hiking Pants
- Casual hiking pants need to be made from comfortable fabric . . . comfort and durability are really the “buzz” words when we’re talking pants! Soft fabric prevents chaffing in those important little places, breathable fabric prevents sweating in those important little places and stretchy fabric adds to the comfort (especially after a large lunch).
- Casual hiking pants need plenty of pockets – somewhere accessible yet safe for your cell phone, but plenty of other pockets for any little essentials which you like to have handy at all times!
- Casual hiking pants need extra knee room . . . . whenever you’re hiking, climbing or hunting for firewood the knees is the first place to sag in your pants . . . if your pants ain’t designed with that little extra flexibility and knee room.
- Casual hiking pants for men might need a little extra room in other places too . . . a gussetted crotch for completely unrestricted motion!
- Casual hiking pants need to protect you from the odd rainshower . . . okay, they’re not going to be completely waterproof, but a water repellent finish can help a lot, it’ll also help them to dry quickly afterwards.
