Neck Gaiters
Neck Gaiters are simple, yet they can keep you surprisingly warm. Just a continuous tube of fabric which you slip over your head, it’s kind of like a scarf without ends. No surprises, then, that neck gaiters are very popular among cold weather hikers. They are so much easier to carry in your backpack than a bulky scarf, and yet give you the same amount of warmth around your neck and ears without the big, bulky knot stuffed down under your hiking jacket.
Neck Gaiters are everything a hiker wants to be . . . warm, comfortable yet stylish!
Neck Gaiters also have their place on warm weather hikes too. There are some gaiters which are specifically designed to protect your neck and shoulders from the harmful rays of the sun . . . the fabric on these “summertime” gaiters is more prone to wicking the moisture away from your skin to keep you cool than keeping you warm, and can actually help you to keep a cool head and neck even when the sun is pouring down on you.
Who goes inside for lunch when they’re hiking? Oh well, thanks for the video dude.
