I’m joking, now I’m not saying that you can’t buy long underwear bottoms with a butt flap these days, but it’s not one of the usual features. When we’re thinking about long underwear bottoms for hiking we’re a little more concerned with;

  • comfort
  • quick drying
  • moisture wicking
  • breathability
  • elasticated waist
  • body hugging fit time after time

Hikers know what it takes to keep warm on a winters day on the mountain tracks . . . . and long underwear bottoms are definitely part of the essentials. Nobody can be happy if they get cold about their nether regions, and long underwear hiking bottoms not only keep your legs, your butt and your privates warm, they also help to keep your feet warm and the rest of your body, ’cos once your feet get cold you’re in real trouble, even with the best hiking socks and hiking boots in the business.

Lightweight long underwear bottoms can help to maintain your body temperature whether the day is freezing cold, boiling hot or somewhere in between. Next time you go hiking don’t forget your bottoms!

Jeez that even sounds cold don’t it? It’s enough to freeze your googlies. I hope they’ve remembered their long underwear bottoms, but not as much as they do!
